Create dynamic titles using WordArt.

The WordArt tool bar is usually at the bottom of your Word
window. If it is not, click on VIEW - TOOL BARS - WORDART.

The tool bar will appear either below the scroll bar area or
floating on the writing area of Word. If it is floating, Drag it by it's
title bar and drop it below the bottom scroll bar area.
To use WordArt, first place the cursor where you want the
WordArt to appear in your document, then click on the blue tilted A and you will get
the following window:

Click on any of the styles you like and click OK. This
will open this window

Type your text. Remember that the
highlighted text will be REPLACED by whatever you type. If you click on
the highlighted text, the highlight will go away and whatever you type will be
ADDED the text that is there. Select the font style and size, bold and italics if you
like, then click
OK. Remember you can edit your WordArt text and colors with the WordArt Tool bar. Have fun.
If you want to return to this editing screen, simply double click on your WordArt.
LAYOUT
In order to move your WordArt
around the page freely, you need to adjust the layout. RIGHT CLICK on your
WordArt select FORMAT WORDART. Click on the Layout Tab.

Click on Tight then
click on OK.
To move your WordArt, move
your mouse pointer over the WordArt. When the I beam turns into a 4
headed arrow, click and drag.
Now Lets Get Fancy:
Open the WordArt Gallery by clicking
on the Blue A on the WordArt tool bar. Select the style in the top left corner.
Type in the text you want and click OK. Now lets fill your letters with a
picture. RIGHT CLICK on the WordArt you just created and select Format WordArt. You will get the following window:

Look for FILL then Color. Click on the down arrow (triangle)
and select Fill Effects.

Click on the Picture tab to see this window. Then click on Select
Picture. Find the copy of your Stained Glass picture

Click on the file name then click on
the INSERT button on the bottom right.

Click on OK.

Click OK at the bottom.

Experiment with other pictures.
CREATE A FLYER
- Remember to set your margins using
FILE - PAGE SETUP - set them all to .25"
- Create a Title using WordArt
- Insert a Picture below the title
- Place some colorful text in an
unusual font below the picture.
